I can’t believe that’s us a month into 2021 already. I feel like I’ve blinked and the month is gone. I read 8 books this month; 5 physical and 3 audiobooks. I veered into contemporary/historical fiction more than anything else this month and on the whole massively enjoyed it. My reads and ratings were:
The Foundling by Stacey Halls: ★★★★★
Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng: ★★★★★
The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah: ★★★★☆
The Shape of Darkness by Laura Purcell: ★★★★☆
You’ve Got A Match by Emma Lord: ★★★★☆
Long Bright River by Liz Moore: ★★★☆☆
Anxious People by Fredrik Backman: ★★★☆☆
Down Comes the Night by Allison Saft: ★★★☆☆
I’ve got my fingers crossed February is just as good of a reading month. My primary goal is to finally read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo!
I hope everyone else had a great reading month and that the first month of 2021 was kind to you and your loved ones. What was your favourite read of January you’d recommend? Let me know 🥰
